NT Hinton Ampner Alresford, Hampshire Hinton Ampner was remodelled into a small neo-Georgian manor house in 1936 with a fine collection of furniture and paintings. Highlights of the garden include the dell, sunken garden with topiary and walled garden, ancient trees in historic parkland and stunning views over the South Downs. Highlights in June are Bog Garden, Himalayan Valley and a very long herbaceous border. Courtyard Cafe, Garden Restaurant and Tea Room, Plant Centre and Gift Shop. Waterperry Gardens Oxford 20 acres of beautifully landscaped gardens with classical herbaceous border, jardin formel, rose and alpine gardens. There is also a lovely walk along the River Thames and a Tea Shop, Garden Centre, Gallery and Gift Shop www.waterperrygardens.co.uk/ On to Milton Manor House Abingdon Milton Manor is a private, lived in, Grade 1 listed building with acres of history. In the grounds is a walled garden, two lakes, woodland walks and llamas and horses wander around. Tea and cake are included.
