1. Leonardslee Lakes and Gardens
Lower Beeding, West Sussex Thursday, 28th April 2022 After nearly a 10 year closure and a two year restoration programme this is the ‘Finest Grade 1 woodland garden in England’ . First planted in 1801, it was re-opened in 2018. With outstanding displays of rhododendrons, magnolias and camellias. Ickworth House Horringer, Suffolk Thursday, 7th July 2022 Ickworth House is a country house near Bury St Edmunds and was last owned by the Marquess of Bristol. It boasts a large silver collection, servants’ quarters, a deer park and walled and Italianate Gardens. https://www.nationaltrust.org.uk/ickworth On to Fullers Mill Gardens West Stow, Suffolk The late Bernard Tickner created the garden over a 50 year period into a charming woodland garden. It features a mill pond, the river Lark and a plantsman’s collection of unusual shrubs and perennials. Tea, coffee, home made cake and plants are for sale. 3. Lamport Hall and Gardens
Lamport, Northants Thursday 4th August, 2022 The hall contains outstanding furniture, books, china and paintings collected by the Isham family who lived there from 1560 to 1976. The gardens have extensive herbaceous borders, a walled garden, exhibitions, a museum and a parish church. Coffee included on arrival.
