Once again there were only 7 participants but it was encouraging that the very youngest competitors had grown vegetables. Evie and Oliver Coldham produced a fine cucumber and Maya Crown a plate of tomatoes.

Emerson Newman had taken another winning photograph in the 7-10 age group, where Matthew Hill’s vegetable model sadly collapsed on display.
